250 Volunteers Participate in the Portland Backyard Collective

Participating Grantees:  Friends of the Columbia Gorge, Oregon Wild, Waterwatch of Oregon, Western Rivers Conservancy, Wild Salmon Center
Host Orgs (Who did the group volunteer for?): Forest Park Conservancy, Hoyt Arboretum, Portland Parks Foundation, Solve & Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District
Results / Work Done:  Rebuilt and restored large sections of the Birch and Springville trails in Forest Park;  worked on a reroute in Hoyt Arboretum of the White Pine Trail, and – with their finishing touches – opened the trail to the public;  spread 10 yards of gravel, groomed and tidied the new tread, installed bioswales for drainage, and removed invasive ivy and holly.
