In December 2015,  The Trust for Public Land acquired Ascutney Mountain Resort, a 470-acre ski area in Vermont that closed in 2010. TPL transferred the property to the 1,112-acre West Windsor Town Forest, and a conservation easement was placed on the entire 1,582 acres.  Ascutney Mountain is home to 30 miles of trails where locals enjoy mountain biking, running, hiking, backcountry skiing and snowshoeing. Learn more here.
