Founded in 1991, Access Fund is the premier national advocacy organization for climbers and the only nationally accredited land trust dedicated to protecting climbing areas. They represent more than 7 million climbers nationwide in all forms of climbing. For almost 30 years, they’ve rallied climbers across the country to protect the places we love, keeping climbing areas open and conserving those places for current and future generations. The organization delivers on this mission through land acquisitions, local stewardship projects, support for grassroots advocates, climber education, and public policy action. Access Fund has more than 20,000 members, 130 affiliated local climbing organizations, and dozens of corporate partners in the outdoor industry. In partnership with land trusts, public entities, and local climbing organizations, they’ve supported over 80 land acquisitions totaling over 17,000 acres across 27 states.
